The number of imported used cars registered in Hungary rose 13% year-on-year to 9,243 in January, listings site JoAutok.hu said on Monday, citing figures compiled by Datahouse.

JoAutok.hu noted that the number of imported used cars was still under the 10,000-11,000 monthly average in earlier years. The average price of used cars from Germany, the biggest supplier for the local market, has risen almost 20% in the past two years, it added.

Used car imports reached 106,000 last year. The number of domestic transactions reached 825,000.
