February retail sales volume rose 0.5% over January, according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures. Retail sales volume rose 5.6% in 2005, and 5.7% in 2004, calendar-adjusted figures show.
In 2005, quarterly retail sales were up more than 6% year on year in the last three quarters of the year. In line with EU methodology, the figures do not include sales of vehicles, vehicle parts or fuel.
