The number of new vehicles registered in Hungary rose 5% yr/yr to 4,954 in September, auto-industry researcher DataHouse reported on Monday.
The monthly rise followed a 19.8% increase in the previous month. The number of new passenger vehicles registered fell 2.1% yr/yr to 3,481 in September. The number of new heavy commercial vehicles registered rose 23.6% to 398.
The number of new buses registered declined 72.2% yr/yr in September to 10 and the number of light commercial vehicles rose 38.6% yr/yr in September to 933. The number of new motorcycles registered fell 2.2% to 132.
In January-September this year, the number of new vehicles registered rose 8.5% to 45,964 in Hungary. The number of new vehicles sold was down compared with the preceding months.
The biggest increase in the period – 93.7% – was registered in the category of heavy commercial vehicles, of which 2,962 were registered, while the number of motorcycles registered in January-September dropped 18.9% to 1,686.
The number of new light commercial vehicles registered rose 22.8% yr/yr to 7,489 in January-September.
The number of new passenger vehicles registered was up 3.8% in January-September, totalling 33,676.
The number of new buses registered in January-August fell 22.2% yr/yr to 151.
