Mercedes-Benz will add production for two new electric vehicle platforms in Kecskemét creating a "significant" number of jobs, Szijjártó said. The government is supporting the investment with HUF 14 bln and will also provide financial support for a training program Mercedes-Benz is launching, he added.
Szijjártó signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with plant director Christian Wolff, Mercedes-Benz's board member in charge of production Jörg Burzer, and Kecskemét Mayor Klaudia Pataki Szemerey.
