MABISZ noted that the figure includes premiums paid on policies for almost 4.2 million vehicles, including commercial ones. Premiums on policies for passenger cars average HUF 13,000-14,000, the association said.
The average premium works out to about €66. In Germany, the average premium is €228. It is €267 in Greece, €115 in Romania and €171 in Cyprus.
