JoAutok.hu CEO Bertalan Halász noted that the number of used car imports reached 10,659 in the month of April, falling from 12,831 in March, but said it's "unlikely to indicate a trend turnaround".
He added that the drawn-out war in Ukraine, accelerating inflation and the weak forint may have made potential buyers "more cautious, temporarily".
Higher demand, driven by supply problems on the new car market, will continue to be met by used car imports, he said.
