Ford leads Hungary LCV market

Ford led Hungary's light commercial vehicle market last year, selling 6,559 vehicles to give it a 28.54% market share, Ford Magyarország managing director Attila Szabó said, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Ford's LCV sales fell 481 short of the number sold in 2020, Szabó said. Ford also led in the heavy commercial vehicle segment, selling 2,138 vehicles, he added.

In the pickup segment, Ford sold 2,547 vehicles, close to half of the market.

Ford was in third place in the passenger car segment, selling 10,604 vehicles and giving it an 8.7% market share.

Ford sold a total of 17,487 vehicles in Hungary last year, taking an overall market share of 11.62%.
