Audi workers to get HUF 350,000 COVID bonus

Workers at the Hungarian unit of German automaker Audi will get a gross HUF 350,000 "COVID bonus" for what management deems their "outstanding performance" during the pandemic, business daily Világgazdaság said.
The agreement on the bonus, initiated by the Audi Hungaria Independent Union, was reached on Thursday, after several rounds of negotiations, the paper said. The one-off bonus will be paid on the period between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021.
Board member Erzsábet Knáb said the consensus reached on the bonus validates internal cooperation at Audi Hungaria. The company employed a little more than 12,200 people at the end of last year.
