Hungary mobile phone subscriptions fall to 11,634,000 in March
The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary fell 13,000 to 11,634,000 in March, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority said on Friday.
The number of active mobile phone subscriptions – numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months – fell 46,000 from the previous month to 11,013,000 in March.
Market penetration fell slightly, to 116.8 SIM cards per hundred people from 116.9 in February.
T-Mobile's market share based on the total number of subscriptions rose to 45.32% from 45.25% in the previous month, while Vodafone's share remained fixed at 22.88% and Telenor's market share fell to 31.81% from 31.86%.
Based on subscriptions generating turnover at a rolling three-month average, Vodafone's market share remained fixed at 22.55% at the end of March, Telenor's share dropped to 31.87% from 31.96% and T-Mobile's rose to 45.58% from 45.49%.
