Hungarian-Slovakian business/info center inaugurated
The Hungarian-Slovakian Business and Information Center was inaugurated in Törökbálint by officials from both countries today. The center will support efforts by companies to get credit for developments, seek markets, obtain information and participate in training programs, said Fidesz MP/Hungarian-Slovakian Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-chairman Lajos Kupcsok.
Foreign Trade State Secretary Péter Szijjártó was on hand as well, stating that the number of border crossings between the two countries is figured to double by 2020 and adding that an easy-to-cross border was indispensable to partnerships between the countries’ SMEs.
The center was established as part of a joint €2.9 million project, with some €730,000 of the funding going to establishment of a sister center in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia.
