Gundel terrace renovation inaugurated
Renovation of HUF 120 million was inaugurated for Budapest's Gundel Restaurant, the standard-bearer for Hungarian catering.
Budapest mayor István Tarlós said the development of the 1910 founded restaurant had continued to this day. He called the restaurant a “royal palace of gastronomy” and congratulated the latest generations of the Gundel family as well as the restaurant's staff on preserving the establishment's legacy.
The company that operates the restaurant had revenue of HUF 1.64 billion last year. Gundel Restaurant is entirely owned by Hungary's Danubius Hotels.
