DriveNow to launch car sharing service in Budapest

DriveNow Hungary will launch an application-based car sharing service in Budapest on April 29 with 240 vehicles, the company told state news agency MTI. 

The service will cover 63 square kilometres of the central area of Budapest. Rental fees will be charged by the minute with the option of daily and three-, six,- and nine-hour passes. DriveNow Hungary will have nearly HUF 3 billion of assets at its launch. Wallis Automegosztó operates DriveNow through a franchise model.

In February DriveNow of BMW and car2go of Daimler joined together to form SHARE NOW, a joint car sharing service operating in 30 cities globally.
