DanubeTruck plans to sell 1,000 Iveco trucks a year
DanubeTruck Magyarország plans to sell 1,000 of the Iveco brand trucks a year in Hungary in the medium-term, managing director Tamás Molnár said yesterday. This could generate turnover of HUF 9-10 bln a year for the company, he added, with prices, and therefore turnover dependent on the forint/euro exchange rate.
Data from the Hungarian Vehicle Importers’ Association (MGE) shows the market for commercial vehicles is already approaching pre-crisis levels, due in part to the National Bank of Hungary’s “Funding for Growth Scheme”.
MGE said earlier that sales of heavy commercial vehicles came to 547 in March 2015, up 84.2% from a year earlier. The company took over sales of Iveco trucks almost a year ago from Iveco Magyarország. Since then, it has sold 400 trucks worth approximately HUF 4.5 bln. DanubeTruck is a subsidiary of MB Auto Holding, a member of the Pappas Auto group.
