City tourism company calls tender for
Budapest Tourism Destination Management Nonprofit (BTDM) has called a tender in the Public Procurement Gazette to provide "hop on hop off" bus services to visitors with 48-hour "Budapest Cards".
BTDM puts the net value of the contract at an annual HUF 200 million or an estimated HUF 4,500 per card.
Bidders must have a fleet of at least five buses and must also offer card-holders the chance to see the city from the Danube, by watercraft. Bidders must have contracts with at least a hundred hotels or commercial accommodations in Budapest.
The deadline for bidding is May 7. A contract is expected to be signed on May 28.
