Buchl Hungária, a unit of the German company that processes car manufacturer Audiʼs industrial waste, wound up a HUF 416 mln investment, managing director Árpád Gömöry said today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The investment was supported with a HUF 150 mln European Union grant. Through the investment the company purchased shredding and briquetting machines and also installed solar panels.

MTI said that the company was able to raise headcount by 100, to reach 260, at its plant in Győr, where the Audi factory is located.

Buchl Hungária had revenue of €17.8 mln last year. The company processes 100,000 tons of industrial waste annually, not only from Audiʼs base in Győr but from the local units of Bosch, Nemak, Henkel, Holcim and Metro, MTI said.
