BorgWarner’s new plant to create 700 jobs

American automotive parts manufacturer BorgWarner today opened a 25,000 sqm plant in Oroszlány, northwestern Hungary, which is expected to employ 600-700 workers when reaching full capacity, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The plant, which will produce exhaust pipe parts, is divided into 15,000 sqm production area and a 10,000 sqm logistic and service center, plant manager Ágnes Sosna said.

The development is part of a HUF 9 bln investment, for which the company received a HUF 850 mln government grant,MTI reported, adding that BorgWarner pledged to create 400 jobs at the two plants established as part of the project.
