BorgWarner winds up HUF 3.5 bln expansion
The Hungarian unit of U.S.-owned automotive industry supplier BorgWarner yesterday finished a HUF 3.5 billion expansion at its turbo system production plant in Oroszlány, close to the capital, Hungarian new agency MTI reported.
The project was supported with a HUF 914 million European Union and state grant, managing director Attila Bogár said. The expansion created 50 new jobs, raising headcount numbers above 1,000, he said.
Hungaryʼs BorgWarner unit, based in Oroszlány, recently submitted a one-off government grant for supporting the €50 mln construction of a 7,000 sqm production hall that could be completed in two years, Bogár said.
