German car manufacturer Audi is applying minor revisions to production lines at its Hungarian plant in Győr for a makeover of the A3 models, communications director Monika Czechmeister told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

The new models, which are expected to have a more sporty feel and more expressive appearance, will roll out of the plant and go on sale by May, the director told MTI.

Audi has turned out more than 240,000 sedans of the A3 model, of which the biggest market is the United States, since expanding the Hungarian plant in 2013, according to MTI. The plant has turned out over 40,000 A3 cabriolets, which are popular in Germany, the report added.
