Audi Hungária to produce TT Roadster

Automotive

German car producer Audi is launching production of its third-generation TT Roadster models at its plant in Hungary, located in Győr, early in November, Audi Hungária Motor announced today. Production of the new models are officially scheduled for November 5.

The Hungarian unit, on the query of Hungarian news agency MTI, declined to reveal the exact number of planned cars to roll out. However, Audi Hungária stated that the plant would continue to operate in three shifts at full capacity, to produce multiples of last year's output of over 40,000 cars.

Last March, managing director of Audi Hungaria Motor Thomas Faustmann expected to triple output, saying that the next-generation TT Coupe would account for about 10% of the total output.
