According to KSH, the employment indicators among Hungarian men between 15-64 was stronger during December to February, increasing by 2.9 percentage points to 71.2%, while employment among women aged 15-64 was up 1.5 percentage points to 58.3%.
The employment rate among people aged 15–24 increased by 1.6 percentage points to 26.3% during the above period, while employment among the “best working age” group of 25-54 year olds was up 1.5 percentage points to 80.9%. The employment rate of those aged 55-64 increased by 4 percentage points to 46.9%, KSH added.
The number of those working in public employment increased by 45 thousand from December to February, while the number of individuals working at local units abroad increased by ten thousand, KSH noted.
