Hungarians plan to spend about HUF 300,000/person on vacations abroad, around HUF 40,000 less than the average for Central and Eastern Europe, Bence Sármay, Visa’s head in Hungary, said presenting the survey results with MBH Bank on Tuesday.
The most popular summer holiday destinations for Hungarians remain Croatia, Italy, Spain, Austria and Greece, he added.
Csaba Soós, MBH Bank’s retail business development manager, said the lender’s own survey showed that the average household spent HUF 410,000 on a domestic vacation and HUF 760,000 on a holiday abroad.
