Tourism

Transavia France will operate a seasonal flight between Budapest and Nantes, starting April 7, 2019, with the French carrier始s Boeing 737-800 commuting to the city in western France twice a week, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Transavia始s flights will operate during the summer schedule season. The planes will depart Budapest at 8.50 p.m. on Thursdays and 9.10 p.m. on Sundays, arriving at Nantes Atlantique Airport, one of Transavia France始s hubs, after a flight that takes just under three hours. Nantes is an important port city in western France, acting as the center of the Loire region.

The new route means that Transavia France, the low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM Group, increases its capacity at Budapest Airport by 50%. Nantes is only the second direct flight between France and Hungary offered by Transavia, besides a flight to Paris Orly.

Bookings for the Budapest-Nantes flight have been available on Transavia France鈥檚 website since September 17.
