Report: Refugee saves life of Hungarian man

Sixteen-year-old Afghan refugee Aziz saved the life of a Hungarian man, who cut the artery in his arm under his shoulder and was bleeding badly, Hungarian online daily 444.hu reported, citing a Facebook post on page Budapest Seen.

The injured man was descending the stairs at a civilian charity event when he accidentally cut his arm after he hit a glass door. Afghan volunteer Aziz rushed to help the man by applying a pressure knot to stop the bleeding. The daily reported that it took an ambulance 70 minutes to arrive to the scene.

According to 444.hu, Aziz is a refugee in Hungary, who ran away from his birth country after his father was murdered. He lost his mother and sibling while escaping Afghanistan, the daily added. Reportedly living alone, he has been sleeping in a park, and volunteers for local civilian organizations.
