According to Budapesti Közlekedési Központ Zrt. (BKK or the Budapest Transport Center), the busiest corridors, buses and trolleys will run more frequently, with weekend services operating more often than today.
In densely populated areas, nighttime stops will be reachable within 500 meters, matching daytime accessibility and significantly improving coverage across the capital.
Several new direct routes will connect outer districts not only to the city center but also to one another, reducing the need for transfers and shortening travel times across multiple lines.
A new trolley line (980) will run between the city center and Örs vezér tere via the Füredi housing estate, while the trolley number 972 will operate on weekends between Deák Ferenc tér and Orczy tér.
BKK said suburban connections will also be improved from July 1.
