These Are “Only” the Largest Music Venues of Sziget

In Budapest

The Main Stage of Sziget has an area of over 1,000 sqm, the Samsung Party Arena's seating area is 4,000 sqm, the FreeDome presented by Mastercard tent has a capacity of over 10,000 people, while the TicketSwap Colosseum is built from 3,000 pallets. The sizes of the largest music venues at this year's Sziget, held between August 10-15, are remarkable, not to mention their lineup!

For the six days of the festival - out of the 24 Main Stage performers - seven headliner-level stars have been invited to the Main Stage of Sziget this year. Florence + the Machine will kick off the first day, followed by Imagine Dragons, David Guetta, and Mumford & Sons. On Monday, there will be two "main headliners": Lorde and Macklemore. Finally, on the closing day of Sziget, one of the biggest stars of our time, Billie Eilish, will perform. Of course, every day, starting as early as 4 p.m., we can secure our spot in front of the Main Stage as there will be concerts tailored for Sziget, featuring acts like Sam Fender, Yungblud, girl in red and Foals, among many others.

The epicenter of EDM this year is the Samsung Party Arena again, where different big party brands will be showcased every day. The first day is Q-Dance, who focus on the harder styles of electronic music, especially hardstyle, hardcore, and hard trance. Awakenings will be joining Sziget for the first time. The Dutch group, which organizes techno parties and festivals, is responsible for the world's biggest techno event, the Awakenings Summer Festival. Rampage, renowned as the "biggest Drum&Bass and Dubstep party in the universe", will also be part of this August's party circuit with Next Level. Higher Ground will also be the venue for "house" artists and emerging talents on Sziget. By now Be Massive is a dominant part of the Hungarian party world, with international artists. Brazilian DJ and record producer Vintage Culture launched the Born Of Music Addiction party series, which is now coming to Sziget with names such as Adam Beyer, Reinier Zonneveld, Diplo, Tale Of Us and the Brazilian acts coming to BOMA Day, namely Maz, Ashibah, Mochakk and Vintage Culture.

Bringing together the best of alternative electronic music, Sziget's TicketSwap Colosseum - a boules stage reminiscent of ancient amphitheaters - returned last year with a reimagined and exclusive look. The venue, which has been further enhanced this year with a spectacular design, is stunning and equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology, and will star more than 60 performers over six days. Among them will be Herrensauna XXL, a line-up of four major DJs, but also the Australian-born, London-based Mall Grab, the influential techno DJ and producer Jeff Mills, one of the best-known German house and techno DJs and producers Dixon, and the Italian electronic dance music DJ, Dj Tennis. Also at the Colosseum will be one of the most prominent artists in German electronic music, three-time DJ Awards winner Sven Väth, one of techno's fastest-rising DJs Kobosil and French techno producer I Hate Models.

The FreeDome presented by Mastercard big tent, which brings together alternative music trends, is already full of names. Among others, English producer, musician, and DJ Bonobo, English hip-hop artist Loyle Carner, deep and progressive house musician Ben Böhmer, and Jamie xx of the English indie pop band The xx will perform here. There's also German electronic music supergroup Moderat, English rock band Nothing but Thieves, French-American electronic music project M83, and punk band Amyl And The Sniffers. English singer-songwriter and musician SG Lewis, English post-punk music duo Sleaford Mods and American rapper/singer 070 Shake.
