Festival-goers can expect an array of diverse acts and immersive experiences when Sziget returns to Budapest’s Óbuda Island from August 6-11, 2025.

Spanning over six days, every year Sziget transforms its island into the “The Island of Freedom’” evolving the site into a choose-your-own-adventure that welcomes thousands of visitors from over 100 countries.

With the first acts confirmed, Brat Summer is set to continue in full force for 2025, the festival’s organizers say. Charli XCX brings her energy to the stage in Budapest. The star of the moment redefined pop culture with her innovative style and boundary-pushing artistry. In addition to that, Chappell Roan captivates audiences with her electrifying performances and empowering anthems. She has crafted a vibrant, fantastical musical world celebrating queer expression and authenticity. The third headliner is Anyma, the multimedia project by Matteo Milleri. Known as a founding member of Tale Of Us and the Afterlife label, Anyma blends DJing and creative direction into a state-of-the-art audiovisual experience.

The first wave of acts also includes the French electronic duo Justice, known for their electrifying live shows and iconic hits like ‘D.A.N.C.E.’ and ‘Neverender’. Next to them, Armin van Buuren, one of the world’s biggest DJ’s, will come to Sziget. The Canadian pop icon Nelly Furtado, who never played in Hungary before, blends pop, R&B and world music to chart-topping hits such as ‘Promiscuous’ and ‘Maneater’. The Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap, known for their rebellious spirit, are set to ignite the stage. Their biopic is currently in cinemas.

They will be joined by Berlin-based Brutalismus 3000, French rapper and producer Rilès, Norwegian rapper Ash Olsen and the German dj and producer Boris Brejcha. Also coming to Sziget are Kölsch, with his immersive electronic beats, alongside the hard-hitting techno of 999999999, I Hate Models, and Carlita.

American rock legends Papa Roach will bring their explosive energy to the Island, delivering songs like the unforgettable “Last Resort”. U.K. indie band Blossoms will return to Sziget and Fat Dog, also from the United Kingdom, will bring their alternative indie sound to Budapest. Among the more intimate performances, Australian singer-songwriter RY X will captivate audiences with his phenomenal voice.

This is the very first wave of acts revealed for the Hungarian music festival. In 2025, Sziget will introduce exciting new elements to its programming, with early hints revealing an increased focus on expanding the festival’s nightlife experience.

‘’At Sziget, we aim to create a vibrant lineup that celebrates our global community, offering something for everyone to connect with.” says Tamás Kádár, CEO of Sziget Festival.

‘’Prepare for more—this is just the beginning, with many more names, as well as a diverse program of arts, circus, theater, social activism, and cultural experiences yet to come.’’ added Kádár.
