KSH had reported 9.1% unemployment as of year’s end.
KSH also noted that 4.03 million were employed in Hungary in the three-month period, a rise of 175,000 (or 4.5%) on the period in 2012.
Additionally, the National Labor Office (NMH) reported some 437,000 registered jobseekers in January 2014, a 32.6% y.o.y. decrease in the rolls.
As always, KSH advises to apply some caution when considering KSH statistics on employment; as has been alleged, figures may or may not include the illegally-employed and those employed day-to-day.
