Festival organizers announced the death on Facebook on Sunday, citing official confirmation from the Fejér County Police Headquarters.
“It is with great sadness that we inform the O.Z.O.R.A. Festival community that the Fejér County Police Headquarters has officially confirmed that Bence Szolnoki’s body was found on Friday in a cornfield outside the festival grounds,” the organizers wrote.
According to a report by 24.hu, Police said they received a report shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday that a body had been discovered during agricultural harvesting work on the outskirts of Igar-Dádpuszta.
No circumstances suggesting a criminal offense have emerged in connection with the death, according to the police. The Sárbogárd Police Department is investigating the case with the involvement of experts as part of an administrative procedure and said further information would be provided once the examination is complete.
Szolnoki was last seen at the festival, and a search was launched following his disappearance in early August.
The organizers said he had been a member of the festival’s on-site team, making the loss particularly painful for the community.
“We have lost a colleague and a member of our community. During the construction period, we live and work together day after day, and Bence was part of the community that builds and brings O.Z.O.R.A. to life,” they wrote.
The death follows two unrelated fatalities at the festival in early August, when a 39-year-old Hungarian woman and a 45-year-old American man died in separate incidents that remained under police investigation. Read our earlier report here.
