Hungarian festival-goers spent HUF 108,000, while foreign visitors spent HUF 255,000, GKI said in a summary of the survey results.

Visitors spent an average of 3.2 days at the festival, although 44% stayed at the festival grounds, located on an island in the Danube, for the full five days.

This year’s festival attracted around 357,000 visitors. Foreigners accounted for 47% of the total, and around half were first-time visitors.

Around 28% of foreign visitors considered Sziget “expensive” by international standards, while 11% said it was “cheap.”
