According to the report, the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) said investigators have already questioned several witnesses and aim to fully clarify the incident on Hajógyári (Óbudai) Island.
A young person posted on Sunday that their sister had apparently been drugged without her knowledge during the party. Shortly afterwards, a 39-year-old woman posted a video saying she collapsed almost immediately after drinking her drink.
On Sunday evening, Sziget organizers responded to the reports, saying they were deeply shocked by the accounts on social media.
They urged anyone affected by similar incidents to contact the police and pledged to assist the investigation. They added that for years they have worked with the same tried-and-trusted subcontractors for their catering units, which serve the audience safely and to a high standard.
The Sziget Festival is taking place from Aug 11 to Aug 15.
