The planned innovation subindex increased from 21 points to 29 points, indicating stronger investment intentions. 

Digital development reached a record level, with 57% of firms implementing upgrades such as automation, data processing and AI. The digital innovation subindex climbed from 36 points to 42 points, marking a historic high. 

K&H’s innovation lead and chief information and innovation officer, Gergely Lóska, says companies are increasingly focused on competitiveness and preparing new products, services and operational improvements.

The semi-annual K&H Innovation Index has been published since 2021 and is designed to show how companies are performing in areas such as product development, digitalization, and innovation strategy. 

The survey focuses on Hungarian companies with annual revenues above HUF 300 million. Recent editions have surveyed around 360 medium-sized and large companies through telephone interviews.
