According to a report by state news wire MTI, Veronika Varga-Bajusz, the state secretary for higher education and vocational training, said the agreement outlined steps paving the way for young people to build their careers with BYD.
Gábor Gan, the director of BYD’s executive office in Hungary, said the cooperation served to establish a knowledge centre in Szeged, as well as build up production capacity.
BYD will offer students internships and professional training, he added. BYD’s plant in Szeged will employ around 10,000 people when it is completed, said László Salgó, the head of the county government office.
