Szijjártó said Hungary's participation at the peace conference was driven by the country's "absolute position on the side of peace".
He added that it was unfortunate that the conference would take place without the participation of Russia.
He reiterated Hungary's stand advocating an immediate ceasefire and the start of peace talks.
