The public administration and justice ministry will prepare an entirely new penal code, Róbert Répássy state secretary confirmed to political daily Népszabadság, and wants to present the draft to the government by the end of the year. According to the new concept of the document a punishment in proportion with the crime will be applied in the cases of crimes related to sexual moral and breach of peace will also be treated.
The state secretary confirmed that it will remain irrelevant whether the perpetrator belongs to a minority or not. If the perpetrator commits a crime with which he intends to protect the order imagined by him that is considered to be breach of peace. The new document will treat drug related crimes in a stricter way; it will only allow the perpetrator to choose therapy instead of punishment the first time, the second or third time the lawful punishment will have to be sentenced.
