The Zala County Business Development Foundation has launched a three-year project to improve labour services in the region along Hungary’s border with Slovenia, managing director Andras Nagy said on Thursday, after signing a cooperation agreement on the scheme.

The foundation will establish a virtual competency centre and run training sessions for the young and unemployed as part of the project.

A European Union grant for cross-border cooperation covered 85% of the almost €518,000 cost of the project.
