President, PM Congratulate King Charles III on Coronation

President Katalin Novák and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated King Charles III on his coronation in posts on social media on Saturday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

"I am confident that British-Hungarian relations will continue to strengthen under your reign. God save the king! Long may you reign", the president said on Twitter.

Novák attended the coronation in London with heads of state from around the world on Saturday. She was the first sitting Hungarian president to participate at the crowning of a British monarch.

Orbán also congratulated King Charles III in a post on Twitter: "God bless your reign, Your Majesty!"
