According to a report in French daily Le Figaro, due to the EU’s principle of equal treatment among member states and the US’ heightened security zeal, all nationals – including those who currently do not require a visa – could see the conditions for entering the US toughened up.
At the moment, most Western European state nationals are not required to have visas, while all EU member states that joined in 2004 and since – except Slovenia – must go through the extra bureaucratic step if they want to go to the States. (focus-fen.net)
