“In any democratic system, power exercised without a time limit leads to a loss of self-restraint. At some point there’s no longer a distinction between the interests of the state, the party, and the personal power interests of the leader,” Magyar said.
“Every Hungarian has the right to be told the truth,” he said.
“Every cigar room, every forint stolen from the Hungarian people will be exposed and budget fraud, illegal party financing, embezzlement, hidden items, and the deficit will be uncovered,” he said.
Everyone also had the right to a functioning and humane Hungary, he added.
“That’s why we are initiating the suspension of evictions in foreign currency loan cases, and launching back-to-school assistance for children from needy families and benefit-in-kind cards for pensioners, and why we are bringing EU funds back home,” Magyar said.
