Those who did not meet the deadline for having a child may need to repay several million forints in lost interest subsidies at once, while monthly installments could rise from HUF 40,000–50,000 to HUF 80,000–100,000.
Banks are preparing fee increases based on 4.4% inflation, with OTP announcing a 3.6% rise, adding about HUF 100 per month for retail clients.
The basic social account could again become a paid service, with a maximum monthly fee of HUF 1,454 tied to 0.5% of the minimum wage. Home‑insurance premiums are also expected to increase as property values and repair costs continue to rise.
