Adjusted retail sales volume for the EU-25 increased 0.7% year on year in March. March retail sales in Hungary rose 0.6% from February, up from a 0.5% monthly rise in February, according to seasonally and workday-adjusted data.
Retail sales totaled Ft 448.5 billion in March at current prices, up from Ft 431.4 billion in the same month a year earlier. In the first three months this year, retail sales increased a calendar year-adjusted 6.3% year on year and totaled Ft 1,195.8 billion at current prices. According to calendar year-adjusted revised figures, retail sales rose 5.6% in 2005. In line with EU methodology, the figures do not include sales of vehicles, vehicle parts or fuel.
