Lithuania Inflation Rate Eases in April

Lithuania's annual inflation rate increased to 14.5% in April, easing further from a 1-year low of 16.6% in the previous month, data from the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS) showed on Tuesday.
It was the lowest reading since February 2022, as prices increased at slower pace for food & non-alcoholic beverages (21.9% vs 27.6% in April), housing & utilities (27.3% vs 34.9%), alcoholic beverages & tobacco products (10.6% vs 11.2%), health (10.3% vs 10.7%), and miscellaneous goods & services (13% vs 13.5%).
Meanwhile, costs accelerated faster for transport (3.3% vs 2.7%). On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices showed no growth, following a 0.5% increase in the previous month.
