Investment Volume Jumps in Komárom-Esztergom, Hajdú-Bihar
Investment volume in a handful of Hungarian counties climbed in the first half, even as volume fell around 10% for the country as a whole, state news wire MTI reports, citing data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
First-half investment volume in Komárom-Esztergom County, in the north of the country, jumped 207% year-on-year.
Investment volume in Hajdú-Bihar County, increased 163% during the period. Debrecen, the county seat, is home to a number of big automotive industry projects, including plants under construction by German carmaker BMW and Chinese battery manufacturer Catl.
Investments in the capital dropped 29% and investments in Győr-Moson-Sopron County, in the northwest, edged down 3%.
