According to data released by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH), the data shows a broad-based decline across the national economy, with seasonally adjusted investment performance decreasing by 11.8% year-on-year in Q1.

The largest negative contributions came from the manufacturing sector and from transportation and storage.

Some sectors, however, showed resilience. Increased investment activity in real estate and the energy industry helped moderate the overall decline.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, investment volumes were also down, dropping by 3.4% at comparative prices based on seasonally adjusted figures.
