Adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, GDP was up 0.5% compared with the same period of 2024. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the economy grew by 0.2%, based on seasonally and calendar-adjusted and reconciled data.
For the full year 2025, Hungary’s economic output increased by 0.4% according to raw data and by 0.3% based on adjusted figures, compared with the previous year.
Growth in the fourth quarter was primarily driven by the services sector. Within services, financial and insurance activities, along with wholesale and retail trade, made the strongest contributions to GDP growth. Construction also supported overall economic performance.
At the same time, economic expansion was held back by weaker performance in industry, which remained the main drag on growth during the period.
