Food prices increased by 0.2% year-on-year, but fell by 2.4% when food and beverage serving services were excluded.
Within the food category, potato prices rose by 7.6%, while buffet products and a cup of coffee in catering each became 6.5% more expensive. Prices of candies and honey increased by 6.0%, meals at canteens by subscription by 5.9%, and restaurant meals by 5.6%.
At the same time, canned meat prices fell by 26.9%, butter by 12.9%, pork by 10.9%, cheese by 9.1% and milk by 7.7%. Prices of preserved meals without meat decreased by 7.3%, while pasta products became 6.7% cheaper.
Services were 4.0% more expensive than a year earlier. Freight transport prices rose by 18.6%, theater tickets by 17.6% and recreation abroad by 11.7%. Postal services became 9.6% more expensive, vehicle repairs and maintenance rose by 8.0%, and personal care services by 7.3%.
Other public entertainment tickets increased in price by 6.8%, healthcare services by 6.3% and domestic recreation by 4.2%.
Alcoholic beverage and tobacco prices rose by 3.1%, including a 3.8% increase in tobacco prices.
Prices for electricity, gas and other fuels fell by 2.3% year-on-year. Natural and manufactured gas became 7.5% cheaper, while electricity prices increased by 2.3%.
Consumer durable prices rose by 1.9%. Jewelry became 26.4% more expensive, kitchen and other furniture prices increased by 5.1%, and living and dining room furniture by 3.5%. Second-hand passenger cars cost 2.6% more, while motorcycle prices were unchanged.
Pharmaceutical products became 2.5% more expensive and motor fuel prices rose by 1.6%.
Prices Flat From May
Consumer prices were unchanged on average compared with May.
Food prices fell by 0.2% month-on-month, or by 0.5% excluding food and beverage serving services.
Prices of fresh domestic and tropical fruits increased by 4.1%, fish by 1.4%, and canned fish and pasta products by 1.3% each. Preserved and frozen fruit prices rose by 0.8%, while chocolate and cocoa became 0.7% more expensive.
Fresh vegetable prices fell by 8.1%, eggs by 2.4%, butter by 2.0% and potatoes by 1.8%. Sugar prices decreased by 1.5%, while rolls became 1.2% cheaper.
Service prices rose by 0.3% on average. Freight transport became 3.2% more expensive, domestic recreation rose by 2.3%, other public entertainment by 1.1% and recreation abroad by 0.6%. Other travel services became 4.3% cheaper.
Electricity, gas and other fuel prices increased by 0.4% month-on-month. Natural and manufactured gas prices rose by 1.0%, while electricity and purchased heat prices were unchanged.
Alcoholic beverage and tobacco prices fell by 0.1%. Tobacco prices increased by 0.1%, while alcoholic beverages became 0.5% cheaper.
Motor fuel prices were unchanged from May, while clothing and footwear became 0.4% more expensive.
