Dealers say that interbank trade has been light so far on Thursday morning, noting that many traders are awaiting the announcement of details regarding the government’s budgetary-reform package due in March.

The forint traded at 208.30 to the Swiss franc on Thursday morning, compared to a Wednesday-afternoon rate of 206.90. Dealers attribute the forint’s weakening against the CHF to the strengthening of the Swiss currency against its single European peer on increasing risk-aversion.

The forint traded at 199.19 to the dollar on Thursday morning, compared to a Wednesday-afternoon rate of 201.10.
