Slovenia posts trade deficit in Jan

Slovenia swung to a trade gap of EUR 423,030 in January from a surplus of EUR 348.2 million in January 2021, the country's statistical office said.

Exports rose 20.5% year-on-year to EUR 3.5 billion, while imports increased 52.1% to EUR 3.9 billion in January.

The European Union was Slovenia's main trading partner in January, absorbing EUR 2.4 billion of the country's exports and providing EUR 2.4 billion of its imports.
