However, the balance showed a significant year-on-year deterioration, declining by EUR 716 mln.

The value of exports in November reached EUR 12.6 bln, while imports totaled EUR 11.8 bln. The share of trade with EU member states accounted for 76% of exports and 72% of imports.

Year-on-year, export values fell by 3.5%, while imports increased by 2.3% in EUR terms. On a month-to-month basis, exports declined by 2.7%, and imports dipped slightly by 0.4%.

The surplus in external trade, amounting to EUR 742 mln, represents a continuing positive balance. However, the decrease compared to November 2023 underscores challenges in Hungary’s export performance amid rising import demand.
