On January 15, the OECD issued a record of jurisdictions whose minimum tax legislation has completed the agreed process and secured transitional qualified status, news site MTI reported.

Hungary was included on both the list for qualified income inclusion rules and qualified domestic minimum top-up tax rules, the ministry said.

Hungarian legislation on the 15% minimum global tax has been in force since December 31, 2023.

Hungary’s tax system remains among the most competitive in Europe, the ministry said.
