The international reserves stood at €16.397 billion at the end of last year, up €676 million from the end of 2005 and €1.432 billion down from its peak in March 2006. In dollar terms, international reserves stood at $21.589 billion at the end of December 2006, down $430 billion in a month and up $2.986 billion from the end of 2005, preliminary figures show.
